On September 24th, the 2018 China Lhasa Tibetan Lamp Art Festival began at the Dekyi Norbu Children’s Park. The festival showcases 32 themed lamps as well as a night market featuring delicious foods. This festival will last from September 24th through late October.
According to Dekyi Norbu Children’s Park, the festival will feature both traditional and modern elements. The Zigong lamp, one of China’s intangible cultural heritage, is combined with lighting technology using modern techniques. During the festival, the 32 themed colored lamps created by 32 lamp artisans will light the whole Lhasa city.
